    Emergency Medicine Residency

The Emergency Medicine Residency at Denver Health, started in 1973, is one of the nations most competitive programs, and is the only one of its kind in Colorado. An integrated residency program composed of eight affiliated institutions and based at Denver Health Medical Center, its primary objective is to train physicians to function in any type of emergency environment. 

Family Medicine Residency

The Family Medicine Residency at Denver Health was started in 1998 to train family physicians to give comprehensive care especially in underserved and culturally diverse populations. It exposes residents to an interdisciplinary model, which emphasizes clinical prevention and community understanding. The program is a collaborative effort between Denver Health and the University of Colorado Department of Family Medicine.

Oral Maxillofacial Surgery and General Practice in Dentistry Residencies

Denver Health manages two dental training programs; the Oral Maxillofacial Surgery Residency Program, and the General Practice in Dentistry Residency Program.  For more information on Denver Health's Dentistry training programs, visit Dental Residency Programs

Pharmacy Residency and Training Program

The Denver Health pharmacy department serves as a training site for pharmacy students from the University of Colorado Denver School of pharmacy. Students receive practicum experience as second and third year students and advanced pharmacy practice experiences for the fourth year students during their clerkships. Both institutional and clinical rotations are offered by the inpatient pharmacy.
 
Denver Health pharmacy department also serves as a training site for Arapahoe Community college pharmacy technician training program, where technicians can complete their inpatient pharmacy clerkship rotations.
